Shortly after I moved to NM, I had driven through Arroyo Seco when I went to the Taos Ski Valley area. Seco looked like a cute place, so in early June, I decided to go back for an “extended” visit. The 45-minute drive to Arroyo Seco was breathtaking in itself, of course — I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Seco is a very small town whose main claim to fame seems to be an annual Fourth of July parade. [View photos of the 2013 Parade]
I think I covered the whole downtown area in about 2 hours, and that took effort. Be sure to stop by Francesca’s Women’s Clothing Boutique and Claireworks Sculpture and Jewelry. Grab a bite to eat at the Taos Cow — super friendly staff and very accommodating to my gluten sensitivities.
