International Folk Art Market

A friend of mine told me about the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe. I thought it sounded pretty interesting so I decided to go on Family Day, the last day of the event. I followed the signs for public parking and took a free shuttle up to the event on Museum Hill. It was super-crowded and quite warm that day (definitely not the place for an agoraphobe). I purchased my ticket in advance online so I didn’t have to wait in the long line to get in.

There were loads of vendors from all over the world selling their arts and crafts. It was a bustle of people, color, music, and food. Truly astounding!

As the day got hotter, I stepped inside the Folk Art Museum to cool down. Then back outside to grab a bite to eat at one of the food vendors. I had a nice convo with a group from Taos while we all enjoyed our Pad Thai. After that, an iced coffee and a vegan cookie from Annapurna’s and I headed over to the main stage to check out the band. Lots of Latin music and dancing — so fun!

By 4:30, I was done, so I hit the line for the shuttle back to the parking lot and called it a day!
